It's quiet here in the Yakima Gulag. Mr. T. and I are getting along nicely. He is a very affectionate and kind man and a real delight. 
He has no vices. My other family members like him.

Well, I have figured out comments! So someone, anyone send me a comment, please keep it clean and in one of the languages I can read, English, Irish, Spanish or B/S/C.

The new set up is a hassle if you are working from a mobile device. I no longer use a desk-top, a lap-top or a net-book. It's been 100% mobile for some time now. It's easier for me to do in nearly every way. My main problem with the new set up is accessing comments and publishing them. I don't think that's good at all.
Long ago I had to go with comment moderation. Nearly all blogs discussing anything to do with the Balkans region are forced to make the choice between ludicrous flame-wars and comment moderation. Spam was also a factor. I am not here to be a spam-dump!
It's not like I get many comments in any case.
I know this blog is read many places. I know also that I really only have one regular commenter.
Anyway, bear with me please while I figure out the latest interface.

Weather in The Yakima Gulag is very good. I have sad news on a personal note.

My father passed Easter Sunday. I only got the word last night.

He was close 90 years old and was at peace at the end, a friend was there to hold his hand. His sufferings are at an end. He was very ill with kidney disease.
It's a testament to the man's toughness that he survived so long on dialysis. He was very accepting of people's differences. He was a painter of some talent.
I remember him actually making some of the toys my sister and I played with, hobby-horses, toy swords, blocks and other things.
He was very into physical fitness. We kids were taken on frequent, long walks.
I am sure the fact my sister and I are basically sound had a lot to do with that.
He and my mother were also very into healthy diet. Again, I think it was very good for us.

Mr. T and I are getting along nicely. We went to see my son last Saturday. One household member has an interesting collection of allergies, my son is diabetic, we're Muslim, I am lactose intolerant and Mr. T has no teeth. So we had gourmet Mac & cheese with halal cheese.
Mr. T. is a very sweet guy. I thank God we have each other.

So I am trying something I could not get away with before, posting from my iPod, directly in the form for the purpose, as opposed to by email.
Yesterday Mr. T and I went to visit Ivan The Terrible, Ministry of Technology. He has moved back from his out of area residence, and brought his girl-friend and another friend. They live in a nearby town. They came to my Nikahand we got to go there for dinner, a little sword-play and bowling on the Wii.
Mr. T. watched the fun and relaxed. We ate a delicious dinner of steaks, and Mac 'n cheese made from scratch.
We about hated to go home. Mr. T. has been well received in the family because he is so sweet, and funny. Also he really is a very good guy.

It's fun visiting at my son's hhis household is very relaxed and calm. We all had a lovely time. Thinking of a mutually edible and enjoyable dinner was fun. I was the one with the basic winning idea. Mac n cheese from scratch is lovely stuff, especially with colorful, vegetable pasta and two kinds of cheese.

On a personal note* those of you who read this blog may or may not care about things like

For those who do care, on my return from Bosnia and Hercegovina, I reverted to Islam. A lot of people say 'reverted' because we regard Islam as the original state of humans. I say reverted because I was Muslim at a young age, went away for a time and came back.
Recently a neighbor of mine, (we shall call him Mr. T. because we have to call him something...) let me know he really loves me. He is probably the nicest man I ever had the privilege of knowing. I did let him know I really liked him too, but Muslim ladies can't marry non Muslim men.
I asked if he would consider becoming Muslim also. I said, 'Take time to think it over. Ask me anything.'
Well a couple days later he said he would. So he took Shahada. We had a simple Muslim ceremony, attended by family and friends.

Mr. T. is a very kind, good man with no vices. We have been friends for some time. We share many interests, but we also are really different from each other. It's never too late for love. Life is short, and sometimes
