The police also have been using helicopters. They have been brutal.

Queen Katarina, Last Queen of Bosnia
This is the anniversary date of the passing of Queen Katarina Vukčić-Kosaća.
She knew she was ill, that in fact it might be her last illness, so she called some of her court and a couple Croatian Franciscan monks and wrote up her will.
Queen Katarina was a learned woman. She kept a pretty sizable library. She believed in reading and learning, and not just for the nobility.
She was known to teach peasant children how to read and write.
She herself could speak and write Latin as well as her own language.
She tried really hard to recover her children. In this she was not successful. Her daughter did not live to adulthood, but died on the journey to Istanbul, in Skopje, Makedonia. There used to be a turbe for her. A turbe is a special form of grave. Muslims reserve such a grave for people who could be described as saintly, or for great rulers, or people who die for the Faith.
People used tho visit her turbe until the awful 1963 earthquake destroyed it.
Queen Katarina's son was made governor of Karaman province. He was married to a daughter of Mehmet II, the same man who conquered Bosnia.
Queen Katarina never got the news of her daughter's death. News traveled so slowly in those days.
She perhaps never knew that her son's life in the growing Ottoman Empire was very good indeed, much better than if he had wound up in Rome on a Papal allowance.

Early morning news:

The story is sad, but this woman does not necessarily have to go live in her home village. She could live in Sarajevo.
The real reason to stay in the UK is her ability to earn a living is better. Bosnia has terrible unemployment. There is no real government yet, but I think the religious angle she is using is exaggerated.
A lot of ethically Muslim Bosnian women only put on a scarf and otherwise dress *Islamicaly* if they are going to the mosque, or attending a religious function, even in smaller towns. Now maybe in a little village, her claims are correct.
And that fire-breathing četnik is much more a reason to stay in the UK!

Food & Drink:
Things have gotten experimental kod mene I had a look on the Internet and found out that pumpkin leaves are edible. Africans eat them, so do people in the Indian Sub-Continent. In fact, pumpkin leaves are referred to as 'Bangldeshi spinach' so I asked my neighbor Thomas for some leaves and went out for them. I blanched them yesterday. They are a bit spiny.. These are late season leaves. Today I de-veined them and chopped them up. This was a large handful of leafiness. I chopped some onion. I decided to add some sesame seeds. I threw in a little Weber's 'Kicken Chicken' and fried that in a teaspoon of margarine. When the sesame seeds started hopping, I threw in the chopped pumpkin leaves. I fried them a short time. This was delicious. A bit chewy, kind of fuzzy like stinging nettles, but chewier than spinach.
I will chop them finer next time. That should make them better.

Both organizations have the hallmarks of cryptofascist groups. Note the semi military look of the Oathkeepers logo.
It's one thing for the police to bash people,( NOT repeat NOT that there is anything good about that..) after all it is sometimes their job to use force. They can be given orders (which ought to be refused...) or they can in certain circumstances fail to use good judgement. Still they are the police.
Organizations like Oathkeepers are not in charge of keeping order. It is not their job and no good thing can come of it.
It is as if a parent allowed one child to mete out punishment to another.
