Up-Date on the Garden;

Update. Mr. T. and I went very early to the Farmer's Market. I cut samples from our tomato plants, and we cut samples from the sun-flower and those poor hollyhocks and put them in Zip-Locks. We gave our information and said samples to the Master Gardener crew. They will analyze and test them.
If its a disease situation, we will know what to do, if its pesticides, we will know what kind.
If the neighbor applied anything illegal, he could be in some trouble.
That neighbor was slinking around yesterday. We both felt he looked guilty. He saw us taking pictures. He's seen us do that before. the urki looked very uncomfortable.,'... I always take pictures of our gardens, I do this to have a record of how they are doing and if any damage is caused by dogs belonging to other people here.
Looks like my bad habit of not clearing the camera has been helpful for once! :)

I have decent before and after pictures for them to work with.

Mr. T. and I got home before it really got hot. I made goat cheese suffed zucchini blossoms.

We haven't had stuffed squash, pumpkin or zucchini blossoms in a couple years. Mr. T. loves them.

We both like to fix nice things to eat.

That's why we like gardening. If you have a successful garden you end up with nicer food.

Black Prince Tomato Plant:

We suspect the urki next door. This plant was FLOURISHING day before yesterday!
There were numerous little blooms, and the same went for the Yellow Pear tomato.

Mr. T. and I brought the Yelliw Pear home from Bi-Mart. It was very big. We put it in the ground the very next day.

I saw the Black Prince at Home Depot. We put her in the ground later that day. She had a little transplant shock. Both suffered through and survived a late frost.

Yesterday, we noticed blackened leaves and we noticed that both plants had also bravely put forth fruits.

The neighbor was lurking about with one of those green plastic things that weed-killer comes in.

This old zeka was not born yesterday and neither was Mr. T.

We noted several hollyhocks which had been in good health are yellowed. Also a sun-flower which had just bloomed hung its lovely head. Probably my Rosemary, thyme and Italian parsley are gone as well.

I have never seen a well cared for sun-flower go down like that.

Tomatoes which have been hit by frost maybe, but there has been no frost here. We had at least 101°F in the heat of the day.

Anyway, I plan on finding out what poison was used. If it was something banned, he will be very sorry.

Croatia will be in the E.U. Monday:

I think the E. U. isn't so awful, but I do think the single currency is a terrible idea. I always did and I believe I was proven to be correct on this matter.

I hope that Croatia had an easy transition.

Inter-Urban Trolley Centennial Run:

Mr. T. and I took advantage of the first run of the trolley which members of the general public could enjoy.

He sure knows a LOT about trains!

He was like a kid in a candy shop in the museum which goes with the trolleys.

He'd never ridden before. The seats are from another era, one of generally smaller people. Mr. T. is a very tall man and we had to use a side-seat, becaus there wasn't enough leg-room in the regular seats. I learned three important shibboleths for people of the Yakima Gulag, including the Real, True Reason everyone is so heavy here. Not telling you or it would no longer be a good shibboleth! :)
