Sad news from Norhern Ireland

So I woke up to hear that two British soldiers were killed in Northern Ireland and that they were due for service in Afghanistan.

It almost makes no difference who 'runs' or 'rules' in Northern Ireland or any other part of Ireland at this point because BOTH Northern Ireland and the Republic are now in the E.U. the United Kingdom is in the E.U. so it really just doesn't matter. It's certainly not worth killing over anymore or dying over anymore.

Anyway, that depressed me a bit this morning.

Comments:
It seems to be the same lot who were responsible for the Omagh bombing. Gerry Adams has even managed to condemn them. But it doesn't matter how much of a fragment they are, all they need to do is fan up the embers of anger and hatred. Just at a time when the last thing people in Northern Ireland or anywhere need is more trouble to compound the mess we're all in anyway.

Could not agree more. Just when it was almost safe to go there! :(

These were folks who could not get in on it when the real war was on. Too young to remember and too un-ready for the new realities of life in the E.U. Actually not a lot different from some Balkans type die-hards. :(

Not only that a policeman got killed last night Co:ordinated Gulag Time. :(

Nobody needs that. I hope it can be stamped out fast.
