Here is a slightly better picture of my 'pet', the grasshopper that came to my place in search of asylum.

Comments:
Long antennae, so perhaps a bush-cricket rather than a grasshopper. Also no ovipositor sticking out behind, so perhaps male rather than female. But a handsome beastie.
