Good Morning Comrade Zeks

Well NPR reported this morning that6 men from 'Former Yugoslavia' have been arrested in Camden, New Jersey for plotting to attack Fort Dix. This is not good. It was not a complete story.

Further on the Ft. Dix plot:

From the New York Times

One of the guys was a pizza delivery guy.

I'm really surprised that anyone Albanian would have been involved too, because of the fact that Kosovo Albanians were sheltered at Fort Dix, and the fact that the main plotter was an American citizen is very distressing.

I know that Albanians in America must feel very bad about this crazy business.

Rev. Ian Paisley and Martin McGuiness in the new Northern Ireland Government,

I thought I would be dead and long in my grave before this would happen!

I'm glad to be alive for it though, much better than what was going on before.

Comments:
That's not good at all. I wonder if these six soldiers are in any way connected to any of the increased fundamentalist/terrorist activity in the Sandzak.

Mr. Nikolić election for the Speaker of Serbian Parliament is yet another sign of failed international policy on Balkans!

I was out executing a vital part of my escape plan today, so I haven't heard the press conference, I did hear on NPR this morning that only four were balkanci at all, the other guys were 1. a Jordanian, and the other was a Turk. Frankly it upsets the Hell out of me too, because most Bosnians don't do this sort of thing, and because it's an attack on a base which was used to materially help Kosovar Albanians too, so I hate to hear something like this happened.

Paisley and Adams/McGuinness - smiling away with all the spattered flesh on the wall hidden behind the curtain. As you say, it's better this way than how it was before but there's still something pretty vile about the tea party.

Blair deserves respect for achieving peace and politics in place of war and bombs but I think we need to see how genuinely democratic these people turn out to be in the long run. The Blair approach is always to solve problems without bothering too much about the issues. Perhaps his solution is after all the only one that could have succeeded but he's sold out the people who didn't have blood on their hands. We'll have to see how this works out with time.

Well, at least if Paisley and McGuioness don't take care of business in a civil and proper manner, it's possible to remove them.

While both these men are perfectly attrocious, neither of them is a fit rival to the competition in the Balkans. Both of them would cringe in fear if they had to deal with someone like Karadzic, or Mladic.

I can remember when everyone thought Blair was brilliant and wonderful, and while I can't say I like what he's been doing lately, his legacy is going to be over all a LOT better than the Bush legacy, EITHER Bush or both put together for that matter!

I think it's more in U.K. interests, Republic of Ireland interests and the interest of both populations in Northern Ireland that there not be bombing and killing. If it takes making some very bad guys have to 'stand and deliver' if it takes forcing upon them responsibility, they may be brought to a more moderate line of thinking.

I hold moderate views, but the moderates in Northern Ireland had one key weekness, the weakness all moderates have, a commendable unwillingness to exercise physical force.

I don't know that it is moral to have these men in leadership, but it is the only thing that hasn't been tried, and maybe it'll work, if so good, if it doesn't then no one can say it hasn't been tried.
