Film at 11! :)
This is the same fly that is in the still picture, you can really sense the frustration, and the determination of this fly.

This window doesn't open, I opened a door, but the fly kept at his or her stubborn pursuit of an exit that doesn't exist. I will try again today. The fly can find things to eat in the plants because there's a small amount of compostable matierial and water. So he or she isn't starving. Today I saw the fly, it was in another part of the kitchen, and headed back for the sink and window area, as if expecting me.
Ha! once this fly detected fresh air and heard the words 'Go out! Have FUN! Nice knowing you now get OUT!' and felt the lovely fresh breeze, it went out despite the fact it was about to rain out. :) I like the insect equivalent of a sheep-dog, I think the insect, like other creatures second guesses itself, and tends to think things over at the last moment, thus over-riding the other instinct of nearly all living creatures to flee perceived danger.
