Assorted stories..
This is sad news, of course liveing on the slag heap of the Trepca Mines is hardly a safe place to raise a family. The dust from lead really gets around and of course it's worth note that none of Mitrovica is exactly safe from the dust. It hits the Roma harder because that is where they live.

Also true. You know how it goes, Milosevic made his big fat speech and everyone was all whipped up. Everyone got all whipped up by whoever took poor old King Lazar's mummy around the whole former Yugoslavia, and got all the Serbian people all whipped up by religious sentiments. This made for a people who could not back down because a bunch of people had been whipped into a religious frenzy, after barely haveing religion for decades, and they went nuts! People went out and were weeping and wailing over the relic, in the best Medival style. I remember reading accounts of this and thinking 'No good can come of this thing!'
