Way to creat needless suspense:

That foul-mouthed creep Šešelj is not getting his case dismissed:

This looks like a worthwhile series:

And ¡way to start a flame-war!

Personally, I believe partitioning Bosnia is a bad idea. It would reward the genocide.

Detaching Kosovo from Serbia was a punishment for genocide.

That would be my reason for opposing one partition and supporting the other.

I agree suho meso is awesome. I miss it.

Today's news:

Social Welfare:

Look, it's damned expensive in Dublin, frankly more expensive than it is worth it.
Housing prices are scary all over the place. Frankly for not as good as I have where I live now.
I knew someone who paid €600 which was for a miserable shoe box in a rat infested building.

So a home, or flat suitable for a family with a special needs kid must be astronomical:

And there was this story, not Balkans related. It's that bastard who had it in for ACORN. The kilt is ridiculous! WTF does he think he is doing? The stupid it makes my brain bleed!

You have been warned:

Now back to our regularly scheduled programing....

Kultur Korner:

A guy who lives in the building next to mine just died.

13 million dollars?!?!? Isn't Dirty Dodik forgetting the poor of his own ethnicity?

A correction which I am late with:

This is interesting

And this is most unusual !

The majority of Bosnian Muslim immigrants to the U.S. have been

1. Very grateful to the assistance and sympathy of of country.

2. Most have moderate views, and are used to living side by side peaceably with non-Muslim people.

3. Most American converts are not out to cause trouble either.

Kultur Korner:

Not everyone in Dodik's territory is a bloody-minded bigot. There is hope actually:

Journeyman pictures has a very strong presence on YouTube.

5 Bosnian Catholic Nuns Beatified;

And The Eternal Slovenia/Slovakia Confusion reared it's head.

Folks, the good sister is holding a Slovenian flag... got that?

Some decent economic news for BiH:

It was a dark and stormy night last night. There was dry lightening. Needles to say I slept poorly. Yesterday and Friday were a lot of fun. It was great to see the fair, especially the lovely butterflies. One landed on me without the bribery of a nectar laden Q-tip. Others had me surrounded. I moved slowly because I did not want to risk injuring those lovely creatures. Being face to face with them was a real treat.

Then there was the lovely camel in our SunFair parade. Also there are baby yaks at the fair and a bababy bison, as well as a baby water buffalo. The Watutsi bull the Texas longhorn and the lone Highland cow were impressive as well.
Many years ago Highland cattle were being judged at the fair and even pulled wagons. You don't see them any more.

A Camel:

Probably it's been 80 or 90 years since a camel marched on Yakima Avenue. this one is a beauty. The tack isn't bad, very old-school.

Can't come up with a witty headline:

Many histories of Muslim presence in the U.S. do not mention this mosque at all and I had no idea many of the tunnel builders in Chicago were Bosnian Muslims.

And this is rather bad news:

Not such a slow news day...

I guess today is not such a slow news day....'genocide'-in-croatia/

The bones don't lie:

Today's UN General Assembly:,7340,L-4124827,00.html

I <3 BiH, and sometimes wish I could go back and visit but, it is NOT Eden, repeat NOT Eden!

That said, good place to visit....

We can, despite the rather small numbers of Arabs here get Al Jazeera English on broadcast HD TV. A nerdy neighbor pulled it in. He rigged some wire and some foil to pull it in. It comes in on a station once dedicated to Mexican programing in Spanish.

A little on Vojvodina:

Not because it's a slow news day in BiH or anything. I was going to include a very stupid article from Pravda but it just wanted to take for damn-ever to load. We hate that here!

Cerić upset about Sanžak:

I plead guilty to not knowing much about Sanžak, just that it is a heavily Muslim area in Serbia. I guess I had best learn about that area.

Things have been tense in Kosovo. I hope Winter sets in before things get ugly.
